Hi all,

we started using redash as our ad hoc visualisation tool and the standard functionality serve most of the use cases we have. One complaint that comes up from business stakeholders that the chart design cannot be easily adapted to the company design. As plot.ly is running under the hood and a lot of configuration options should be available out of the box I see potential to allow for advanced template functionality, e.g.

  • specify global legend position
  • define standard color palettes
  • define font sizes for labels
  • define label positioning and direction (e.g. rotate x-axis labels by 90 degree etc.)

I have some experience in adjusting plot.ly graphs in this direction (although mostly used in python) and would be happy to contribute.

Curious to hear the communities thoughts.

Cheers
Stephan
