I follow the steps in https://redash.io/help/open-source/setup#aws including opening inbound traffic on 22, 80 and 443 but when the instance is up and I point my browser to its ip I get no response.
What am I missing?

Does your instance have a public IP address? If not it will not be reachable from outside the VPC it was created in.
