It would be great to have a UI to sort columns/rows/axis of charts client side. For small datasets, even a manual drag and drop sorting like the “series” UI would be great.

Can you describe the usage for this?

Today you can disable sorting of the X axis, and then it will use the same sorting your data is returned from the query (in most cases, there are bugs with some of the chart options).
