Issue summary: i can’t setup my redash instance because:
sqlalchemy.exc.OperationalError: (psycopg2.OperationalError) FATAL: password authentication failed for user "postgres" (Background on this error at: http://sqlalche.me/e/e3q8)

In my /opt/redash/env, i have:
PYTHONUNBUFFERED=0 REDASH_LOG_LEVEL=INFO REDASH_REDIS_URL=redis://redis:6379/0 POSTGRES_PASSWORD=postgres REDASH_COOKIE_SECRET=09k7o73BaA66nafthxYJEKhlB7RAXTSj REDASH_SECRET_KEY=hwjcfMtIbOobcUX5QH7ki8quKCC0iqv2 REDASH_DATABASE_URL=postgresql://postgres:postgres@postgres/postgres

And postgres user password is postgres

Who can help please ?

Are you able to connect to the Postgres using that username and password elsewhere? Or is the failure only when setting up Redash?

I have same issue. I’m using this route: https://github.com/getredash/setup

Strange thing is I got it working on first try, second try I’m running in to this error. I’ve tried

docker image prune -a

To get a clean table, but it doesn’t help.

This is the error code:

I take it that somewhere in the code the UN/PW is defined for host and client and those two are not matching for some reason?

Psycopg is apparently trying to connect to the Postgres server with username “postgres” but that user does not exist? Is there somewhere where this can be defines?
