It would be a handy feature to be able to bookmark queries and dashboards with pre-configured parameters. At the moment, clicking favourited queries/dashboards only loads the default parameter values.

Workaround is to bookmark the page with the parameters once they’re configured in the URI.

Very interesting idea. If someone in the community would like to take the lead on this, I’m happy to provide support / guidance around how to implement it. Specifically it would be interesting to focus on how this UX would differ from what we have today.

  • Would we continue to call these favourites?
  • How would we validate these links if a parameter is added / removed from the target query / dashboard?
  • Would favourites / bookmarks be shareable easily? Tied to group membership?

Lots of interesting directions it could go :thinking:
