We love Slack Notifications, and use them to alert us to a possible problem. But the current implementation is pretty vanilla. Would love to be able to apply our own message, and also tag users / channel.

This is what https://github.com/getredash/redash/pull/3137 implements. I hope it will get merged in the next ~month.
In the meantime, you might be able to tag users/channels by updating the alert name to include them.
