Hello,

downloading a pivot table as excel file downloads the entire data set,
I was expecting to download an .xsls containing a pivot table like the one created with redash.

Am I doing something wrong?

You are not doing anything wrong. The download dataset button refers to the original query result and not the pivot table.

Is it (or will be) possible to download the pivot table?

This isn’t supported at the moment. It’s probably worth opening a feature request for at this point since this support post is quite old.
