Issue Summary

The Redash interface crashes when I want to do visualizations on a dataset of 21,804 rows. I’m using a Python datasource. I don’t know if someone faced the same situation and how can I overcome it ?

Welcome the forum! How many fields are there in your 21k row data set? How does Redash crash? Does the browser tab freeze? Or does it fail to pull the result?

Thanks ! the dataset dimensions are 675924 rows × 7 columns. It doesn’t fail to display the result table but it crashes when i want to add a vizualisation based on the result table. When I try to add an X column or an Y column, redash interface becomes slower and then an error message occurs. I link you the crashes message.

Something doesn’t add up here…

Then…

675k rows is dramatically larger than 21k rows…

The problem is you’re pulling in so much data it crashes the tab. You need to select less information. This has been covered many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many times here on the forum in the past few weeks
