Hi everybody,
I have updated my Redash version last week (now its: 7.0.0+b17535),
and i have noticed that some of my line chart has messed up
(As can be seen here : https://www.screencast.com/t/m36DKa85aB )

when i create a new visualization, with the same parameters, it works just fine.
(As can be seen here: https://www.screencast.com/t/8ycsm44GaJ )

Is there anything i can do (except for manually rebuilding all my charts?)
Thanks!

What version did you upgrade from?

hi,
i had 5.0.2 ( i had updated from 5.0.2 to 6.0.0 and than to 7.0.0)

is this a bug? can it be fixed easily? thanks!

It looks like the X Axis type is different between the two screenshots. In the broken one it uses category while in the working one it uses linear?

Can you share a screenshot of the X Axis tab to confirm?

Hi Arik,
You were right!
the broken one uses ‘category’, while the working one uses linear.
its seems that updating Redash version changed this definitions…
i guess that i must change it manually?
Thanks!

No such changes were done in between version upgrade, but maybe the default changed?

It does seem like you will have to do this manually :frowning:

Hi Arik,
I understand, Thanks for your help!

Hi Itay_a.

I had the same issue in my upgrade, from v 5.0.2 to 7.0.0.
I think the “Category” now is really string sort, while was different in the past, that’s why you have “1,10,11,2,20,…”.

Either you switch to Linear, or leave Category and sort the query, so you can configure the chart not to sort the data.

Thanks.

hi @tiagoajacobi ,
i did switched to Linear, and it works, thanks
