Has anyone worked with Piwik data in redash, yet?
I would love to hear how you implemented it, via. the Piwik API or direct read from its database?

That is not really a good option since the queries get complex quite fast. I am using the python source for now, but making the piwik source function like the google analytics one would just make redash almost perfect.
