Issue Summary

Dear Redash community,

I’ve installed Redash 8.0.0.b32245 on an EC2 instance with the docker-compose way.

It works fine, except for the custom Plotly chart.

The environment variable REDASH_FEATURE_ALLOW_CUSTOM_JS_VISUALIZATIONS is on, and I also can see the “Custom” option in the “Chart Type” dropdown menu.

But it’s just not working.

Every time I select the custom option, the output area of the visualization editor is going to be blank. It displays nothing, including any grid, axis, error messages, or something.

The issue is keep happening even if I restart the server, and upgrade to 10.1.0.b50633 following this guide.

Am I missing something?
