I’ve set up some dashboards which have Text parameters for users within a View Only permission group.
For example, a parameter would be to input a list of User ID’s like “1234, 2345”.
Due to their View Only permissions (read-only access to the datasource), the cannot use the dashboards as they receive an error “this query contains potentially unsafe parameters and cannot be executed with read-only access to this data source”.
Unfort, we cannot give the Full Access to the data source as it is a risk for these users to create/edit queries.
Are there any workarounds for this, whereby a user with View Only access to a datasource can input a list parameter such as “1234, 2345”?
