There’s a pretty solid writeup available here. In general you can run Redash on any reasonably capable hardware that supports Docker.

I found this write up for installing on Ubuntu to be the easiest (for a not-purely-technical person) to get working.
I did have a stab at getting it working on windows via docker - I didn’t succeed, but that could be because I have limited docker experience. Installing Ubuntu on a spare machine and running on there was quick and simple.
